Leicester City 2-0 Bristol City

Leicester move top of the Championship thanks to a 2-0 win over Bristol City this afternoon.

Leicester City have moved to the top of the Championship courtesy of a 2-0 win over Bristol City this afternoon.

The Foxes almost made a perfect start to the match when Lloyd Dyer raced through the defence early on, but Tom Heaton was equal to his effort.

They wouldn't have to wait too long to take the lead, however, as David Nugent ran on to a ball through the middle before beating Heaton to make it 1-0 in the 20th minute.

The hosts' lead was doubled in fortuitious circumstances with just over 15 minutes of the match remaining when Richard Foster bundled the ball into his own net from Andy King's cross.

The second goal killed the game off as Leicester comfortably saw out the final 15 minutes to take top spot from Cardiff City.
