Belgian teenager Divock Origi scores to help Lille beat Lorient in their first Ligue 1 match of the new campaign.

Lille have defeated 10-man Lorient at the Grand Stade Lille Metropole thanks to a solitary Divock Origi strike 13 minutes into the game.

The 18-year-old Belgian striker was fed by Marvin Martin and made no mistake in slotting past Fabien Audard.

The action was less than inspiring, with few efforts on goal, although Vincent Enyeama was kept on his toes by efforts from Yann Joffre and Vincent Aboubakar.

Saloman Kalou threatened down the other end but still the killer goal eluded Les Dogues.

Christian Gourcuff watched his team play the final seven minutes plus injury time with a man disadvantage after Lamine Gassama saw red for two bookable offences.

That effectively spelled the end of the contest, as coach Rene Girard recorded victory in his first league match in charge of Lille.
