Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson has revealed that he "had to go running after the ball boy" so that he could present teammate Sadio Mane with the match ball following his hat-trick against Porto.
Mane struck three of the Reds' five goals at the Estadio do Dragao on a famous night for the club, rounding off the scoring with a sweetly-struck shot into the bottom corner.
If not for Robertson, though, the Senegal international would have made the trip back to Merseyside without a souvenir to remember the impressive personal display.
"I had to go running after the ball boy for his ball at the end - he was nearly upset! Luckily, I managed to get it," he told reporters after the match.
"They were three class finishes from him. Mo (Mohamed Salah) and Bobby (Roberto Firmino) have stolen the headlines in the last couple of weeks, but Sadio is on my side [of the pitch] and he is a workhorse, he works so hard. He took the limelight and got his three goals."
Liverpool's 5-0 first-leg win was the biggest of an English club in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
