QPR vs. Everton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Two sides seeking to bounce back from disappointing league defeats at the weekend prepare for battle in round three of the EFL Cup as Queens Park Rangers welcome Everton to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Tuesday night.
Mark Warburton's men went down 2-1 to Bristol City at the weekend, whereas the Toffees suffered their first defeat of the Rafael Benitez era in humbling fashion at Aston Villa.
We say: Queens Park Rangers 2-3 Everton
Everton have certainly lost some bite on the attacking front - although Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin would most likely have been rested anyway - and QPR need no lessons of their own in finding the back of the net.
With both sides seeking to give their fans something to cheer after disappointing weekend results, an entertaining affair could be in store, and we are backing the Toffees to come out on top in a game where the goals ought to be flowing in.

Preston vs. Cheltenham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Cheltenham Town are in EFL Cup third-round action for the first time ever on Tuesday evening with a trip to Preston North End.
The Robins have defeated Bristol Rovers and Gillingham to reach this stage, while Preston have so far seen off Mansfield Town and Morecambe.
We say: Preston North End 2-0 Cheltenham Town
Cheltenham have hit a good patch of form thanks to a couple of wins on the spin, but this trip to Deepdale is a far bigger challenge than what they have faced so far in the cup.
Preston may well name a strong side on the back of three straight league draws and we are backing them to come out on top in this first ever encounter between the teams.

Fulham vs. Leeds (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Leeds United will be looking to advance to the fourth round of the EFL Cup when they travel to Craven Cottage on Tuesday evening to take on Championship outfit Fulham.
The visitors are still waiting for their first win of the 2021-22 Premier League season, but Fulham are second in the Championship table, having picked up 16 points from their opening eight fixtures.
We say: Fulham 1-2 Leeds United
Leeds are still waiting for their first league win of the season, but they were impressive in the previous round against Crewe, and we fancy the Whites to emerge victorious on Tuesday evening, with Bielsa expected to name a stronger lineup than Silva.

Brentford vs. Oldham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Brentford head into their EFL Cup third round tie with Oldham Athletic looking to back up their excellent start in the Premier League.
While all is well at the Bees, Oldham make the trip to the capital currently sitting at the bottom of the League Two standings.
We say: Brentford 3-0 Oldham Athletic
Even with Brentford making widespread changes, this will likely prove to be a long evening for the visitors. While Oldham may threaten in short bursts, we expect the Bees to cruise to victory and keep a clean sheet in the process.

Watford vs. Stoke (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Watford play host to Stoke City in the EFL Cup third round looking to build on their solid start to the new Premier League campaign.
While the Hornets currently occupy a spot in mid-table, the Potters sit in fifth position in the Championship standings.
We say: Watford 2-1 Stoke City
With both teams making an array of alterations, this is a difficult match to predict. No-one would be surprised with a penalty shootout, but we are going to back the Hornets to prevail by the odd goal in three.

Wigan vs. Sunderland (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
The top two teams in the League One table will lock horns in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, as Wigan Athletic welcome Sunderland to the DW Stadium.
Wigan will enter the contest off the back of an impressive 4-1 victory at Accrington Stanley in the league on Saturday, while Sunderland played out a 2-2 draw with Fleetwood Town on the same afternoon.
We say: Wigan Athletic 2-1 Sunderland
This is an incredibly difficult game to call, as both managers will make a number of changes to their strongest starting teams. Wigan's XI might just be a little bit stronger, though, and we are tipping the home side to edge what should be a very close contest at the DW Stadium.

Norwich vs. Liverpool (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Having posted contrasting results in the latest round of Premier League matches, Norwich City and Liverpool prepare to square off in Tuesday's all-Premier League EFL Cup encounter.
The Canaries went down 3-1 to Watford at the weekend, whereas Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool marched to a 3-0 success over Crystal Palace to storm to the top of the rankings.
We say: Norwich City 1-3 Liverpool
A raft of expected changes from Liverpool may have Norwich feeling optimistic about their prospects of a giant killing, but the confidence levels in the two camps could not be more contrasting.
Klopp may have been dealt further blows with absentees at a less-than-ideal time, but we still expect a second-string Liverpool XI to book their spot in round four with minimal difficulty.

Burnley vs. Rochdale (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Burnley will be looking to book their spot in the fourth round of the EFL Cup when they welcome League Two outfit Rochdale to Turf Moor on Tuesday night.
The home side will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday, while Rochdale played out a 1-1 draw with Mansfield Town in League Two on the same afternoon.
We say: Burnley 2-0 Rochdale
Burnley have found it difficult to pick up results in the Premier League this season, but the Clarets should have too much for Rochdale on Tuesday, and we are expecting the hosts to progress without any real drama.

Sheff Utd vs. Southampton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Seeking to somehow replicate their eight-goal thrashing of Newport County in the previous round, Southampton travel to Sheffield United for round three of the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Slavisa Jokanovic's Blades overcame Carlisle United before dumping Derby County out of the tournament to book their place in this stage.
We say: Sheffield United 0-1 Southampton
In spite of their winless start to the new Premier League season, Southampton have certainly posted some respectable results, although they are highly unlikely to have as much luck in front of goal as they did against Newport here.
Sheffield United are not to be taken lightly as they begin to gather momentum under Jokanovic, but as heavy rotation on both ends takes effect, we expect Southampton's winning streak against the Blades to continue with a narrow success en route to round four.

Man City vs. Wycombe (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
© Reuters
Manchester City will be bidding to become the most successful team in the history of the League Cup this season, and the Citizens will start their 2021-22 journey at home to Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola's side have won this competition on eight occasions - level with Premier League rivals Liverpool - while they have lifted the trophy in each of the last four campaigns.
We say: Manchester City 2-0 Wycombe Wanderers
Guardiola is expected to make a number of changes for the clash with Wycombe, who will be looking to record one of the biggest shocks in the history of the competition. Saturday's draw with Southampton should mean that the home side are fired-up, though, and we cannot see anything other than a routine success for the Citizens.
