Liverpool lead Fulham 2-0 at the halfway stage of their match this afternoon thanks to goals from Martin Skrtel and Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool have taken a 2-0 lead into half time of their Premier League clash with Fulham this afternoon.

The hosts took the lead after just eight minutes when Steven Gerrard's corner fell to Martin Skrtel, who unleashed an unstoppable volley past Mark Schwarzer in the Fulham goal.

Daniel Agger looked certain to double his side's lead in the 24th minute after Luis Suarez had found the defender with an open goal in front of him, but the Dane smashed his shot well over the bar.

Liverpool did find a second 10 minutes later, however, as some good build-up play from the Reds resulted in Stewart Downing finding Gerrard, who made no mistake with his finish.
