Liverpool leave Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out of their Champions League squad for the group stage.

Liverpool have left out Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from their Champions League squad.

The Reds have been drawn in Group A alongside Napoli, Ajax and Rangers as they bid to become European champions for the seventh time in their history.

Jurgen Klopp's side head to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Wednesday to face Napoli, but they will do so without the services of Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The midfield pair are currently sidelined with injury issues, and as a result, Liverpool have elected to leave them out of the squad for the Champions League group stages.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is yet to feature this season due to a thigh problem, while Keita has a muscle injury which has ruled him out of Liverpool's last four matchday squads.

Arthur Melo and Stefan Bajcetic have been included on the A list, while Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are on the B list due to their age and the fact that they have been with the club for over three years so they can still participate in the group stage.
