Ian Ayre: 'Dunkin' Donuts deal will help Liverpool compete'

Liverpool MD Ian Ayre claims that the club's partnership with Dunkin' Donuts will enable manager Brendan Rodgers to compete in the transfer market.

Liverpool's managing director Ian Ayre has claimed that the club's partnership with Dunkin' Donuts will help boss Brendan Rodgers to compete in the transfer market.

The Reds announced a deal with the American bakery giants on Thursday, and Ayre thinks that the funds will afford Rodgers greater freedom when trying to buy new players.

"In order to support Brendan, we have to find the resources," Ayre told reporters.

"This is one of our key partnerships and Liverpool fans should take comfort that we are right at the top of the commercial league."

The Reds are currently fourth in the Premier League.
