Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish warns his players that they should not 'sulk' if they are not selected.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has stressed the importance of a positive attitude in his dressing room.

Dalglish rang the changes for Sunday's 2-1 win over Chelsea, and he has warned his players that they should avoid "sulking" if they are not selected.

"The strength of the squad is always those who aren't playing. That is where you get your success from. At the end of the day, it is hard for the ones who don't play. It is hard to keep them motivated and keep them going," Dalglish said.

"So if they come in with really good attitudes and not sulking when they are left out, it is helpful to everyone.

"If they are not committed to playing, it is not going to be my problem - it is going to be their problem. We will go and get people who are determined to play.

"There is disappointment if you are not playing every game but it is a long season and everyone is going to be given their chance."

Dalglish also praised his players' performances against Chelsea.

"The 11 who started at Chelsea did very well. It was great for the three boys that came on as well. They have only been in the door two minutes," he added.

"For them to come in with positive attitudes hasn't done anyone any harm."

Liverpool are currently sixth in the Premier League with 22 points from 12 games.
