Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish gives his backing to the introduction of goal-line technology.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has given his backing to the introduction of goal-line technology.

Trials are being conducted on nine possible systems with the Football Association claiming it could be introduced as early as the start of next season.

Dalglish stated: "Anything that can help get the proper decisions made is going to be very well received.

"It might not be used very often but when it does it is important to get the decisions correct."

Liverpool could move into third in the Premier League table with victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
