Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Jose Enrique in nearing a return from injury.
The Spanish defender has not featured for the Reds since September 20 due to a knee problem.
"Hopefully within the next week to 10 days he'll be back out on the training field and hopefully there will be no reaction," Rodgers told the club's official website.
"He's a terrific player, Jose, and has got great qualities. We hope we can get him back sooner rather than later."
The Merseysiders resume domestic duties after the international break with the visit of Reading to Anfield on October 20.
