Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler says that he has ambitions to manage a Premier League club in the future.

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has revealed that he has set his sights on managing a Premier League club in the future.

Fowler is currently in charge of Brisbane Roar, with the former striker having help guide the club into sixth position in the A-League standings.

Although the Englishman is less than halfway through his two-year deal, he has admitted that he would like to return to his homeland at some point, continuing to work alongside assistant and former Everton player Tony Grant.

The 44-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I want to manage in the Premier League and I want Tony to come with me as part of my team in the Premier League. I don't think I can be any broader than that.

"I've got massive aspirations of getting where I believe I will get to. I'm going to do everything I can to get there. It starts here, it really does. We know there's a big world out there, there's lot of opportunities and we're ready to take them."

Fowler has previously held a coaching role with Liverpool's academy.
