LA Galaxy 'fear Steven Gerrard will return to Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp'

Los Angeles Galaxy reportedly fear that Steven Gerrard will be tempted by Jurgen Klopp to return to Liverpool as part of his backroom team.

Los Angeles Galaxy are reportedly worried that Steven Gerrard will leave the MLS side to join Jurgen Klopp's backroom team at Liverpool.

The 35-year-old midfielder ended his 17-year Liverpool playing career in the summer to move to the United States.

However, there are fears among Galaxy bosses that Klopp, who could be announced as Liverpool manager today, will try to lure Gerrard back to Anfield to be part of his coaching staff, according to The Mirror.

Gerrard has publicly claimed that he wants to return to the Merseyside club in some capacity in the future, but there are no suggestions that Liverpool have made any approaches as of yet.

The former England captain has an 18-month deal with the American club.
