Kenny Dalglish has reportedly returned to the UK following discussions with Liverpool's owners regarding his future at the club.

The 61-year-old travelled to Boston earlier this week where he is believed to have held a brief meeting with club owners John Henry and Tom Werner.

Some reports have claimed that Dalglish has since opted to resign from his role in the wake of those talks, although Liverpool have refused to comment on that speculation.

It has been said that no official announcement will be made until next week.
