Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'Our decision-making against Burnley was poor'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp criticises his team's "decision-making" following a 2-0 defeat to Burnley.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his team have a "few things" to work on following their 2-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor this afternoon.

The Merseyside outfit, who had never before been beaten by Burnley in the Premier League, were undone by a second-minute strike from Sam Vokes and a counter-attack 35 minutes later that led to Andre Gray scoring.

"Our decision-making was not good," Klopp told BBC's Match of the Day. "We would put in a good cross but there were no bodies in the box and then when we had bodies in the box we ended up shooting.

"The season is still pretty young. It doesn't look like we are 100% fine tuned, but it's only the start of the season and I can see a lot of good things.

"The lesson here is don't give the ball away like we did twice today. We will work on it 100%. We need to have a plan for deep defending teams. We have a few things to do - that is clear."

Next up for Liverpool in the league is a trip to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspur on August 27.
