David Moyes reveals that he is shocked at seeing his Everton side above Liverpool in the Premier League table.

Everton manager has admitted that he is surprised at his side being higher than Liverpool in the League table.

Moyes's team beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 on Saturday and Newcastle United's 2-0 victory over their Merseyside rivals ensured Everton stayed one point clear of Liverpool.

Former Preston North End manager Moyes said: "If you had told me at the start of the season (we would do that) I wouldn't have believed you.

"All we can do is carry on and finish as high as we can. I'm just pleased that we are in this position and the influx of signings we made in January have given us a lift."

Everton are one place above Liverpool in seventh place.
