Andrew Robertson: 'Liverpool have suffered for 30 years'

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson says that the Reds are determined to fight until the end of the season to secure the Premier League title.

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson claims that his side are determined to end '30 years of suffering' and bring Premier League glory to the Anfield faithful.

Following their 2-1 victory over Bournemouth, Jurgen Klopp's side could wrap up the title in as little as two games, having won a staggering 27 of a possible 29 this season.

Robertson, who missed out Saturday's victory as a precautionary measure, has said that the Reds will pull out all the stops to ensure that the title is theirs.

"The Premier League would be a massive one for us as this club has suffered for 30 years so we want to put that to bed and get Liverpool right back to the top and then we want to continue that," Robertson said in the official Liverpool matchday programme.

"That's the aim and as we're such a close group of players there's nothing better than celebrating titles with each other. The foundations we've built over the season have been fantastic but we need to keep going.

"We're looking forward to the run-in. We're still fighting on two fronts for trophies and we want to try and take them both but we know how hard it's going to be."

"We've put everything in place to become champions but we now have the last part of the journey and hopefully we'll get there."

Klopp's side must now turn their attention to the visit of Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash, trailing 1-0 from the first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano.
