Brendan Rodgers: 'No refereeing decisions have gone our way'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reveals that he has spoken to referee chief Mike Riley, claiming that his team have been hard done by during matches this season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he has spoken to referee chief Mike Riley about "obvious" decisions that have not gone the Reds' way in the early stages of the season.

The Northern Irishman, who has yet to win a Premier League match since moving to Anfield in the summer, believes that match officials have not given the Reds the "rub of the green" and specifically highlighted the treatment of striker Luis Suarez.

The former Swansea City boss also claimed that decisions went against the Merseyside club during their 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup yesterday.

"It's just become quite obvious, especially after last night's game," said Rodgers. "Jordan Henderson had a horrendous challenge and the player wasn't even booked.

"There's been a number of incidents but I just told Mike that we have to be careful that we don't discourage players that are trying to respect the game."

Liverpool are preparing to face Norwich City this weekend.
