Preview: Aston Villa vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole looks ahead to this Saturday's Premier League encounter between Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Aston Villa welcome Liverpool to their home turf for the late kickoff on Saturday in a bid to bounce back from their defeat to Chelsea in midweek.

The Midlands outfit felt that they deserved to get more out of their 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge following claims that Branislav Ivanovic should have been sent off before going on to score the winner.

Despite their loss, Paul Lambert's men had a successful start to the new season by seeing off Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates, meaning that Liverpool face a rejuvenated side that escaped from relegation last season.

For the visitors, a narrow win over Stoke City at Anfield kicked off their campaign, but they struggled against Villa during the 2012-13 season.

The Merseyside outfit remain without suspended striker Luis Suarez, which means that Daniel Sturridge should keep his place up front, using the help of Iago Aspas and Philippe Coutinho.

Lambert is likely to keep Christian Benteke in attack, while Jores Okore could come in for Ciaran Clark, who suffered a blow to the head this week.
