Team News: Divock Origi starts for Liverpool after Daniel Sturridge injury

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp names Divock Origi in attack for his side's trip to Tottenham Hotspur after Daniel Sturridge suffered an injury in training.

Striker Daniel Sturridge is missing from the Liverpool squad for their Premier League fixture at Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.

Reports had emerged on Friday that the England international had sustained a knock during training earlier in the week, and that speculation has proven correct after Divock Origi was named in his place.

Midfielder Adam Lallana has also been selected by Jurgen Klopp, who is taking charge of his first game with the Merseyside giants after replacing Brendan Rodgers.

Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino has made two changes to the team that started the 2-2 draw at Swansea City before the international break.

Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele have both come into the side, with Eric Dier, through suspension, and Ben Davies the players to miss out.
