Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas admits he did not have to think long and hard about a move when Liverpool made a bid for him.

Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas has revealed that he did not think twice about moving when he heard of Liverpool's interest in him.

The forward is expected to finalise a move to the Reds in the next few days and admits that he did not have to contemplate a move to the five-time European champions for long.

"When I heard of Liverpool's interest I did not hesitate even for a minute," Aspas told Marca.

"It is one of the biggest clubs in the world and although I also had offers from Italy and Portugal and other countries I decided that my future was in English football.

"I am very calm but at the same time very excited because I am making a very significant step forward in my sporting career."

Aspas is expected to join Brendan Rodgers's side for around £7.7m.
