Liverpool are reportedly prepared to hand a new long-term contract to defender Virgil van Dijk.
The Netherlands international has been out of contention since October after suffering a serious knee injury in the Merseyside derby against Everton.
As well as remaining absent for the remainder of the campaign, the 29-year-old is struggling to recover in time for this summer's European Championship.
However, according to Football Insider, Liverpool are eager to secure the future of one of their key men over the coming weeks.
The report claims that Liverpool are willing to hand Van Dijk a contract worth £50m, terms expected to last until 2026.
Van Dijk is currently tied to Anfield until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
