Report: Liverpool eye Porto's Jackson Martinez

Liverpool are to strengthen their attack in January by making a £30m bid for Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to reports.

Liverpool are looking to make a January bid for Porto forward Jackson Martinez in a bid to strengthen their strike force, according to reports.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has found himself under criticism following his side's third successive Premier League defeat at the hands of Southampton on Sunday.

As a result, the Daily Star claims that the Anfield outfit have identified the Colombian international as the man to spearhead their attack in the second half of the season, and are looking to bid around £30m.

Martinez has scored 12 times in 16 appearances for the Portuguese giants this season.
