Pepe Reina passes Bayern Munich medical

Bayern Munich confirm that Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has passed a medical with the German giants and will sign a contract on Friday.

Pepe Reina is poised to complete a £2m move to Bayern Munich on Friday after the Bundesliga giants confirmed that the goalkeeper had passed his medical.

On Tuesday, the Bavarians confirmed that they had reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign the Spaniard subject to a medical.

Now, the German outfit have revealed that the 31-year-old passed the necessary health check-ups ahead of putting pen to paper tomorrow.

"Welcome to Munich Pepe Reina," read a post on Bayern's official Twitter account. "Medical successfully completed, contract to be signed tomorrow."

Reina, who spent last season on loan with Italian side Napoli, made 394 appearances for Liverpool between 2005 and 2013.
