Stoke City make £14m offer for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen?

Stoke City reportedly make an offer in the region of £14m for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen.

Liverpool have reportedly received a £14m bid from Stoke City for midfielder Joe Allen.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to keep Allen at Anfield for at least another 12 months but the Welsh international may struggle to break into the German's starting lineup.

That has left the 26-year-old open to offers and according to The Mirror, Stoke have made an attempt to lure the player away from Merseyside.

He could wait to see if he receives any interest from clubs playing in Europe, with it previously being claimed that Sevilla could make a move should the former Swansea City man become available.

Allen featured in just 19 of Liverpool's Premier League fixtures last season.
