Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants "solution" to Joe Allen future

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that he needs to find a "solution" to Joe Allen's future.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that a "solution" to Joe Allen's future needs to be decided in the coming weeks.

The midfielder, who is having time off after reaching the semi-finals with Wales at Euro 2016, has been linked with a summer move away from Anfield.

The 26-year-old, who has one year remaining on his current deal, struggled for regular game time under Klopp last season having started just eight Premier League games.

Allen's former club Swansea City and Sevilla have reportedly expressed an interest in the player, but it is unclear whether or not Liverpool will offer him a new deal.

"We will find a solution but it's not done," Klopp told BBC Radio 5 live. "Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championships, like the whole Welsh team.

"We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That's how it works."

Allen joined the Reds from Swansea in 2012 for a £15m fee.
