Dinamo Zagreb chief: 'Marko Pjaca future lies in Premier League'

Dinamo Zagreb's sporting director reveals that an English club remains in pole position to sign Marko Pjaca despite strong rumoured interest from Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners to sign winger Marko Pjaca after Dinamo Zagreb sporting director Marko Vukelic admitted that the Premier League is his likely destination.

The 21-year-old, who has scored 19 goals in 60 appearances for the Croatian outfit, is thought to be at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between the Reds, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

It was recently claimed that Liverpool had made a second bid of around £12m for Pjaca, but Milan giants Inter and AC are said to have since shown serious interest in the midfielder.

Speaking to FCInterNews, however, Zagreb chief Vukelic suggested that Anfield still remains the star player's favoured destination this summer.

"The boy has been very clear through his Facebook profile that there has been no agreement with Inter and he is still a player for Zagreb," he said.

"He's now on vacation then he will be at our disposal but there are a few possibilities with other clubs including Inter. I don't want to respond to this question directly but what I will say is that his future looks to be in the Premier League and clubs over there are in pole position to sign him."

Pjaca ended the last campaign with eight goals in the same number of outings for Zagreb in all competitions.
