Malaga have reportedly confirmed that Manchester City target Manuel Pellegrini is free to leave his post as manager at the Spanish club when the season comes to a close.
The Chilean has been heavily linked with the recent vacancy at the Etihad Stadium following the club's decision to sack Roberto Mancini a year to the day that he guided the team to their first league title in 44 years.
While Pellegrini denied reports that he had already agreed to move to the Premier League outfit this week, Malaga have announced that the 59-year-old can leave the club in the summer, according to Sky Sports News.
These reports suggest that the former Villarreal and Real Madrid coach has negotiated his reported £4m buy-out clause.
