Joe Hart: 'We controlled Luis Suarez well apart from his two goals'

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart suggests that his side controlled Luis Suarez well despite his two goals in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 encounter.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has suggested that his side controlled Luis Suarez well, despite the striker's impact during Barcelona's 2-1 victory over the Sky Blues in the Champions League.

City fell foul to a brace from the former Liverpool striker, while Hart produced a penalty save in the dying embers of the game to give his side a glimmer of hope going into the second leg of the last-16 encounter.

"Luis Suarez is a fantastic player, what did they sign him for - £80m? What do you expect," said Hart, according to the Daily Star.

"He took his goals well, we controlled him well apart from the two goals."

City will travel to Catalonia for the return leg on March 18.
