Manuel Pellegrini: 'We must not fear Everton'

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says that his team should not fear Everton during their Premier League match this weekend.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that his team should not fear Everton during their Premier League match this weekend.

The Citizens would move to the top of the table with a victory at Goodison Park and put the pressure on current leaders Liverpool, who are in action against Crystal Palace on Monday.

"Everton has a lot of different things. We must not fear about that but we must think which is the best way to counter the way they play," The Guardian quotes him as saying. "More important is to win in our style of play and try to do the things better that they do.

"I think it's not only the full-backs. Everton have players who have a very good year with high performance. Romelu Lukaku has been very important, the midfielders are also playing very well so I think we must try to think about the complete team of Everton, more than any special player."

Following their match against Everton, City host Aston Villa on Wednesday before welcoming West Ham United to the Etihad in their final game of the season next Sunday.
