AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says that the club will not consider signing Carlos Tevez until the summer.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has claimed that the Italian giants are putting their pursuit of Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez on the back burner.

The Serie A side came the closest to signing the controversial hitman last month, who arrived back at City's training complex yesterday following months of absence.

"We aren't thinking about the market at the moment," Galliani told Sky Sport Italia. "We'll begin to do so in June."

While reports have suggested that there could be a sensational return to Roberto Mancini's side for the Argentina international, it is expected that the 28-year-old will seek a move in the summer.

Meanwhile, it is believed that Tevez could be fined for his critical comments regarding Mancini.
