Inter Milan have made contact with Manchester City regarding the possibility of signing Carlos Tevez, according to Sky Sports News.
The Argentine has been heavily linked with a move to Inter's rivals AC Milan, but as yet the Italian champions have been unable to reach an agreement with City.
The Premier League leaders are believed to want a permanent exit for Tevez, while AC want to sign the 27-year-old on a loan deal with the option to buy in the summer.
Inter's interest is believed to include a straight cash deal, something that matches City's demands.
Sporting director Marco Branca is expected to meet City officials tomorrow to discuss a possible deal.
