Manchester City have reportedly stepped up their interest in West Ham United's versatile youngster Reece Oxford.
Having forked out an estimated £200m to launch the City Football Academy in 2014, the Citizens are said to be keen on securing the services of some of the country's best prospects.
According to ESPN, one player high on their wishlist this summer will be 17-year-old Oxford.
The England youth international, who can operate either at centre-back or in midfield, became West Ham's youngster ever player last July when he featured against FC Lusitanos in the Europa League.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all previously been credited with an interest in Oxford, but now it would seem that City lead the race.
