Manchester City are reportedly ahead of their Premier League rivals in the race to sign Reece Oxford from West Ham United.
Oxford, 17, was handed his Premier League debut on the opening weekend of the 2015-16 campaign as West Ham won 2-0 at Arsenal.
Earlier in the season, Hammers co-chairman David Gold revealed that his club had 'beaten off Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal' to keep the teenager in the summer.
However, according to The Sun, Man City are becoming increasingly confident of signing the England youngster, despite the fact that rivals Manchester United have also joined the race.
Oxford, who has made eight first-team appearances this season, has two years left on his current deal at Upton Park.
