Antonio Nocerino says that a potential partnership between Stephan El Shaarawy and Mario Balotelli in AC Milan attack would be "nice".

AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino has admitted that he would love Mario Balotelli to join his team.

The Manchester City striker has been linked with a move to the Italian club in January, although both his agent Mino Raiola and manager Roberto Mancini have insisted that the 22-year-old will not leave the Premier League champions next month.

"An [Stephan] El Shaarawy-Balotelli pair? That would be nice," Nocerino told Sky Sport Italia.

"It's not up to me to choose players, though. For now, I am enjoying them playing together for the [Italy] national team."

Balotelli joined City from Inter Milan in 2010.
