Juventus are poised to rival AC Milan for the January signature of Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, according to reports.
The high-profile Italian has been linked with a return to Serie A following a host of off-field incidents that have blighted his stay in English football.
Balotelli, formerly of Inter Milan, looked to be nearing a switch to their San Siro co-hosts when it emerged that the Rossoneri were in talks with the Premier League champions over a potential move.
Milan were hopeful of securing a £22m deal, but now Juventus have joined the pursuit and are also in discussions with the Citizens, according to Sky Sports News.
However, City assistant boss David Platt has claimed that Balotelli's departure is unlikely to happen before the transfer deadline on Thursday evening.
