Reece Wabara to return to Oldham Athletic?

Reece Wabara could return on loan to Oldham Athletic, according to Manchester City assistant boss David Platt.

Manchester City assistant boss David Platt has revealed that Reece Wabara could return on loan to Oldham Athletic.

The 21-year-old, who has made 29 appearances for the League One outfit this season, scored Oldham's decisive third goal in their 3-2 FA Cup victory over Liverpool at the weekend.

"His loan had finished and they asked to extend it so he could play the game, so to get the winning goal is terrific," Platt told Sky Sports News.

"Reece needed to play matches at a higher level than reserve games, he's taken his opportunity and done very well. We'll have to see what happens."

Wabara has also played for Ipswich Town.
