Manchester City are reportedly expected to announce Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager within the next 24 hours.

Manchester City are reportedly expected to confirm Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager in the next 24 hours.

The Chilean has been widely expected to take over the vacant job at City since Roberto Mancini was sacked last month.

After overseeing the transfers of Fernandinho and Jesus Navas, Pellegrini will officially be announced as the new boss before Friday, according to The Telegraph.

Is it believed that the Malaga coach held face-to-face talks with City's director of football Txiki Begiristain and Brian Marwood in Spain last week.
