Report: Roma line up Matija Nastasic bid

Roma line up a January bid to sign young Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic, according to reports.

Roma have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic in January.

The Serbian has found first-team opportunities limited under Manuel Pellegrini after starting 21 Premier League games in Roberto Mancini's last season in charge.

Consequently, the 21-year-old is said to have grown disillusioned with life at Eastlands and, according to the Daily Star, the Serie A giants will offer him an escape route this winter.

Nastasic, a £12m signing from Fiorentina two years ago, is contracted to the Etihad Stadium club until 2017.
