Manchester City defender Shay Facey has agreed to remain on loan with New York City FC until the end of the MLS season.
The 20-year-old initially joined Man City's sister club in the USA on a deal that was due to expire at the end of the month.
However, all parties have decided that the England youth international will now stay put until September.
"I'm really excited to be staying in New York. It gives me a chance to keep learning and continue playing first-team football at a really high level. This is a fantastic place to be, the fans are incredible and it feels like we are building something very special," he told Man City's official website.
Facey has made nine appearances for New York, seven of which have been starts.
