Kenny Dalglish calls for Liverpool cup support

Kenny Dalglish calls for the Liverpool fans to do their bit when Manchester United come to town.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has called on the Liverpool support to play their part against Manchester United this afternoon.

The Scot, who insists that his side's supporters were integral to their Carling Cup aggregate win in midweek, has called for more of the same from the club's fans when Sir Alex Ferguson and the Red Devils arrive at Anfield in the FA Cup.

"The performance from everybody who's got a feeling towards Liverpool Football Club on Wednesday night was fantastic," he told the club's official website.

"The supporters were magnificent. They kept the players going, and the players kept them going. They both helped each other.

"We just need everybody to be at the same level on and off the pitch on Saturday. If we play like that and get the support we got, we'll give ourselves a better chance of progressing in the FA Cup."

Meanwhile, Dalglish's side are in seventh place in the Premier League after being beaten 3-1 at Bolton last weekend.
