Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has withdrawn from the France squad after suffering a knee injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday night.

Despite the injury, Martial completed the full 90 minutes as United lost 2-1 at Molineux, resulting in their exit from the FA Cup and Wolves' first semi-final in the competition for 21 years.

The 23-year-old started for the first time in a month after pulling his groin during United's Champions League round of 16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

After a fresh injury to his knee in Saturday's game, Martial has been forced to withdraw from the France squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland.

Thomas Lemar of Atletico Madrid has been called up by manager Didier Deschamps to replace the former Monaco forward.
