Manchester United defender Luke Shaw to have second operation

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is to have a second operation on his broken leg tomorrow.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw will remain in Holland to have a second operation on his broken leg tomorrow.

The England international suffered a double leg break in his side's defeat to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday and Shaw underwent surgery that evening, with two bone specialists and an expert in trauma injuries conducting in the operation.

According to Sky Sports News, United plan on flying Shaw back to the UK this weekend should the surgery be a success and if the 20-year-old has recovered sufficiently to travel.

Shaw had started every game for Manchester United this season and began both of England's European qualifiers during the international break, but could now miss the rest of the season.
