David De Gea believes that Manchester United can still win the Premier League title.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has stated that the Reds are still capable of winning the Premier League.

The defending champions were beaten 6-1 by their rivals Manchester City last month.

City now top the table by five points from United and are the bookmakers' favourites for the title, but De Gea is refusing to give up at this early stage.

"United can still win it all. It's still not decided that City will finish first," said De Gea.

Meanwhile, De Gea has hailed the managerial qualities of Sir Alex Ferguson.

"What I have learned since the summer in England is more than most of my professional career in Spain," he added.

"It's another world in all of the concepts. I didn't play in the past weekend, but Ferguson told me it was just so I could rest. He's an incredible coach and without doubt the best in the world."

The 21-year-old joined United from Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window.
