Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have been nominated for FIFA World Coach of the Year 2011.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been nominated for FIFA's World Coach of the Year alongside Barcelona's Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho.

Ex-Chelsea boss Mourinho will be hoping to retain his title, while Ferguson could gain the gong on his 25th year in management.

The three coaches were decided by a collection of managers, captains from a number of national sides and a select group of journalists.

The winner will be announced in Zurich during the FIFA Ballon d'Or 2011 gala on January 9, 2012.
