Darren Fletcher makes Manchester United comeback

Darren Fletcher makes his Manchester United comeback after missing nine months of football with a bowel condition.

Darren Fletcher has made his long-awaited Manchester United comeback in their friendly against Aberdeen at Pittodrie tonight.

The Scotland international took an extended break from football to recover from a severe bowel condition, but has now made his return to action as a second-half substitute in Neil Simpson's testimonial match.

Fletcher had not featured for the Red Devils since scoring in their Champions League group stage draw with Benfica in November.

United trailed the match 1-0 at the time of Fletcher's introduction.
