Ryan Giggs hails "fantastic" Louis van Gaal

Ryan Giggs says that Louis van Gaal has "fantastic pedigree", as he continues to be linked to the managerial position at Manchester United.

Ryan Giggs has said that Louis van Gaal has "fantastic pedigree", as he continues to be linked to the managerial position at Manchester United.

The Dutchman is reportedly a target to take over at Old Trafford ahead of next season and current interim manager Giggs has nothing but praise for his achievements.

"He's got a brilliant reputation and is a successful manager in different countries," The Mirror quotes Giggs as saying.

"He's taken Holland to the World Cup so, yes, he's got a fantastic pedigree."

Van Gaal is currently managing the Netherlands national side, who will face Spain, Chile and Australia in the group stages of this summer's World Cup.
