Protest organiser Wes Jones: 'David Moyes support isn't 100%'

Organiser of the anti-David Moyes banner Wes Jones says that he wants to show that support for the Manchester United manager is not universal.

The organiser of a protest which will see a plane fly over Old Trafford bearing the message "Wrong One - Moyes Out" has said that he wants to show that support for the Manchester United manager is not 100%.

The protest, which is due to take place during today's match against Aston Villa, mocks the "Chosen One" banner that has been displayed in the Stretford End at the ground since Moyes's appointment.

Wes Jones told BBC Sport: "The rumblings of discontent have started in the stands. We wanted to show that support isn't as 100% as Moyes would like to think."

Vice chairman of the Manchester United Supporters Trust, Ian Stirling, added: "I can totally understand the feelings of the supporters that have got together to put this banner in place.

"It's a manifestation about how they feel about the seriousness of the problem. They feel passionately about the club and they see it as a way to display how they feel."

Moyes has said that he has received "great support" since being named as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor.
