Harry Redknapp: 'Rio Ferdinand must focus'

QPR boss Harry Redknapp calls on Rio Ferdinand to concentrate on his own game when he faces former club Manchester United on Sunday.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has urged Rio Ferdinand to maintain his focus when he comes up against former club Manchester United on Sunday.

The centre-back, 35, enjoyed a hugely successful 12-year spell at Old Trafford before leaving at the end of last season.

However, Redknapp wants the experienced defender to concentrate on his own game tomorrow and not get caught up in the emotion of his return to the Theatre of Dreams.

"I just want Rio to play his game. You can worry too much. In fact, you can drive yourself mad in this game by worrying too much about the opposition," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

Queens Park Rangers are currently in 12th place in the Premier League table following one win and two defeats from their opening three matches of the season.
