Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly remains keen on completing a takeover of Manchester United, despite links with Newcastle United.

Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly retains a desire to complete a takeover of Manchester United.

In recent weeks, Bin Salman has been strongly linked with becoming the new owner of Newcastle United, replacing Mike Ashley who has been attempting to sell the Magpies for a number of years.

However, according to The Mirror, there is still interest in holding negotiations with the Glazer family regarding a takeover of United.

The general stance of the American owners is that the Premier League giants are not the sale, regardless of whether Bin Salman is prepared to up his previous offer.

That has seemingly led to Newcastle being identified as second choice, with the most recent suggestions being that progress has been made behind the scenes.
