Luke Shaw clarifies comments that he wouldn't celebrate scoring against Chelsea

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw clarifies comments suggesting that he would refuse to celebrate scoring against his boyhood club Chelsea.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has clarified comments suggesting that he would not celebrate scoring against Chelsea because he grew up supporting the club.

The England international was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer before he made a £30m switch from Southampton to United.

In a recent interview with Match of the Day magazine, Shaw was quoted as saying: "Chelsea is one of the first games I look for when the new fixtures come out. I haven't scored yet so I don't know. If my first goal was to come against Chelsea I'm not sure what I'd do."

One Twitter user decided to ask Shaw directly why he would choose not to celebrate against the Blues, to which Shaw replied: "lol of course I would , papers mixing up what I said once again."

Shaw has struggled to cement a regular place in Louis van Gaal's team this season due to fitness and injury concerns.
